Barnes and Noble Update - Cancellations!!

Friday - The two orders I placed on Wednesday had expected shipping dates for March 12 (today).  I checked and re-checked order status on B&N.com all day in eager anticipation.  Did my expedited shipping pay off?

Unfortunately, no dice.  The cancellation emails came rolling in during the afternoon.  One per book cancelled and I must have received around 8-10 at once.  I've must applaud B&N for being straight-forward and cancelling the errors outright.  It was not the messy Amazon promise to deliver one book per customer and then rescind on the deal.

Strangely, the pre-orders remain alive and prices have dropped below the original $10.79.  Now I'm waiting for Tomb of Dracula omnibus v2 $9.59 shipping on 3/31, House of M: No More Mutants $10.11 shipping on 4/14, and X-Men: Inferno Crossovers $10.11 shipping on 7/21.  I'm expecting B&N to cancel these before they ship, but they may have a pre-order price honoring clause (like Amazon supposedly did).

Form of cancellation letter:
